We currently partner with over 2,000 organisations to provide education to 7,000 employees. These include multinationals, SMEs and the public sector. In fact, sponsored students make up 1/3 of our student population, making us the top London university for employer sponsored study.
Our programmes support the delivery of your strategic objectives by helping you to manage your talent pipeline, allowing you to nurture talented individuals and by bringing specialist knowledge to your organisation.
Modes of delivery
We offer flexible delivery to ensure that our options match your business requirements. This includes part-time study, day release and apprenticeships.
Types of qualifications
We offer Employer Sponsored Study at the following levels:
- PgDip/MA/MSc (including graduate conversion courses)
- Specialist Master level courses
We also offer a range of CPD courses and study options. These include:
We are a leading provider of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships (Level 4-7). Over 300 apprentices from 90 employers are currently enrolled on apprenticeships with us. We are currently delivering a suite of Apprenticeship Standards, with many more in the pipeline. If you cannot find a relevant apprenticeship standard then it is either because LSBU does not offer it or it has not been approved as an apprenticeship standard by government. In this case you have the option to send someone to study at LSBU via the employer sponsored route, where the tuition fee is paid by the employer and/or the student rather than via the apprenticeship levy. Find out more about our Apprenticeship Standards.
The School of Health and Social Care is the largest provider of CPPD for the health workforce in the South East of the UK. The portfolio offers training for bands 1-7 healthcare professionals. Most programmes are clinically focused and work based. Find out more about Health and Social Care CPPD.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) education modules are aimed at qualified teachers currently working in primary schools, early years settings or special schools. Find out more about CPD Education.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Editing and Post Production modules are aimed at film makers and industry professionals looking to improve skills they already have and learn new skills within the chosen topic.
The programmes are delivered through our seven schools in a wide range of subject areas. Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies; a reflection of our long-standing commitment to providing highly applied, quality education.

What do other employers think?
It’s an investment in our biggest asset – our people. We’ve got the hard evidence to prove that the investment is worth it.
