We can deliver this workshop to younger learners to introduce them to the concept of university and give them a headstart to thinking about their futures. We will explain why people choose to go to university and discuss the academic, employability, and social benefits of going. Learners will develop their understanding of how going to university can benefit their future careers, as well as their personal lives. This should get them excited about their post-18 options and inspire them to aim for higher education!
If you’re holding a career or higher education fair, do invite us along! We’d love to meet your students and chat to them about all things university and LSBU. This is your students’ opportunity to meet the team and our fantastic student ambassadors, and get their questions answered. We may even supply them with some exciting merchandise!

In this introductory session, we will discuss the academic, employability, and social benefits of going to university. Learners will develop their understanding of how going to university can benefit their future careers, as well as their personal lives. This will give them the confidence to decide whether university is right for them.

This session is focused on helping students find the right course and university for them. We will explore the broad range of courses of offer, from the traditional to unexpected, and discuss the different factors involved in shortlisting courses and universities. We will also equip them with the tools to make the most of Open Days, so they can feel confident in their choices!

Would you students benefit from a better understanding of the academic and career-related pathways available to them? Focusing on your choice of a selection of subjects, this session will highlight the different options that studying a particular subject can unlock.
This workshop is perfect for classes of Level 3 students, whether they’re studying Health & Social Care, Business, Law, or something else entirely. We’ll take them through the opportunities their subject offers and get them excited about their next steps.

This is your students’ chance to learn about what life is really like at university, from academic life to accommodation, from sports to the social scene. Focusing on student life at LSBU, your students will gain an understanding of the many facets of the university experience.
This session can be delivered in collaboration with our wonderful Student Ambassadors, giving your learners the opportunity to get their questions answered and hear more about the real-life experiences of our LSBU students.

Do you have students who are torn between embarking on an undergraduate degree and a degree apprenticeship? Or learners who would simply benefit from understanding the difference between the two? This session will explain the key differences between these pathways, comparing the application process, study experience, and graduate outcomes, and discussing their respective costs and benefits. This will help your students make an informed choice about the right options for them.

This workshop will develop your students’ understanding of what makes an effective personal statement, and grow their confidence in writing one they can be proud of. We will identify what admissions tutors are looking for, explore key content to include for each question of the personal statement, and use examples to demonstrate how a successful personal statement comes together.
We are also happy to tailor sessions to particular subject areas for groups who are applying to similar courses.

Our student finance and budgeting workshop is designed to help prospective students understand how student finance works, from applying to repaying. We will also highlight different sources of funding, including scholarships and bursaries, ensuring your students receive all the financial support they are entitled to. This workshop will also cover budgeting tips and techniques, sharing advice on how to make their money go further at university.

Do you have students who have been invited to an interview or audition as part of their application to university? In this session, students will learn about what to expect from an admissions interview, and receive advice and guidance on how to shine.
We can also combine this workshop with one-to-one sessions to give your learners a chance to practice and receive individual feedback. Please get in touch with us to discuss this option.
This session aims to support students’ transition from further to higher education, building the soft skills that they will need to succeed at university, such as communication, problem-solving, and leadership. We will also go through effective revision techniques, meaning that this workshop will benefit your students in the short term as well as at university!

We will cover revision techniques and academic writing, as well as focusing on key skills that will set your students up for life, from budgeting, to cooking, to managing their mental health.
