The Era of Moral Condemnation: Mixed Race People in Britain, 1920-1950
This exploratory study sought to trace material relating to mixed race people and couples in Britain between 1920 and 1950
This study, funded by a British Academy Small Grant, sourced a number of notable documents from national and local archives, including first-hand accounts, autobiographical recordings and film material.
The study was undertaken by LSBU academic Chamion Caballero, and Peter Aspinall of the University of Kent.
The project was carried out on behalf of LSBU's Families and Social Capital Research Group. To find out more about this work, contact Dr Chamion Caballero, or search our People Finder for academics researching in this area. Also read more on Chamion Caballero's work on Mixed Britannia.
