Student voice

Your experience and opinions matter to us. There are lots of ways to have your say and help shape LSBU for current and future students.

The First impressions survey will come to you at the start of your Autumn semester, giving you the opportunity to let us know how the start of the year has gone so we can address any early issues you may have.

In the middle of every semester, you can fill in a Mid-semester review to provide feedback and let us know how you're feeling. You usually have a couple of weeks to fill these in, so keep an eye out and be sure to complete it when you can.

Course Reps are elected each year by students and trained by the Students' Union (SU. The SU keep in regular contact with their reps who will tell them any issues that are shared with them by their course mates and senior staff on your course will work hard to address them.

Sign up to one of our student panels to participate in surveys and focus groups and make your voice heard. There is a Unifi Student Panel, which offers short, monthly surveys as well as additional incentivised research opportunities with LSBU, such as interviews or focus groups. There is also the Student Wellbeing Panel, which gives you the chance to make your voice heard and influence discussions on student life and wellbeing.

The National Student Survey (NSS) gives final-year undergraduate students a chance to share their views. The survey takes place from January to April: The Student Survey - NSS

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey are opportunities for postgraduate students to provide feedback on their experiences. The surveys take place in the Spring.

Graduate Outcomes  is the biggest UK annual social survey and captures the perspectives and current status of recent graduates: Thousands of graduate voices. One survey - Graduate Outcomes
