First students graduated from LSBU’s new Croydon campus

20 November 2023

On 8th November 2023, London South Bank University (LSBU) students studying Integrated Masters Chiropractic degrees became our Croydon Campus’s first ever graduates. Our LSBU students had the unique experience of studying at two campuses, moving to our brand-new Chiropractic Clinic in Croydon in their fourth and final year.

Leon Tse, who graduated with an Integrated Masters Chiropractic degree, had this to say about his experience: “Throughout my studies I faced an unusual adversity of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. However, the LSBU Chiropractic academic team provided their students with as much support as possible.

“Moving the course to the Croydon Campus for my final year of studies was a great learning experience for me. Being a part of another close-knit community helped the transition to seeing real life patients. I graduated with a Distinction in Masters of Chiropractic (MChiro), with an additional academic and leadership award from the British Chiropractic Association. This definitely reflects all the hard work I put in during my studies, and LSBU really does recognise the efforts you put in.”

In the fourth year of the course, student clinicians treat a range of treat a range of musculoskeletal problems, including spinal problems, joint dysfunction and herniated discs, supervised and guided by experienced General Chiropractic Council GCC registered chiropractors. The LSBU Chiropractic Clinic is open to the public, with discounted rates offered to LSBU students, LSBU staff and our community partners. Appointments can be booked online or by calling the clinic on 020 7815 8346.

Along with the Integrated Masters Chiropractic degree, which is London’s only Chiropractic course, LSBU Croydon also offers other courses in the LSBU Business School and the LSBU Institute of Health and Social Care. Through our presence in Croydon we are training the next generation of business and healthcare professionals, and supporting the local community through initiatives like our Chiropractic Clinic and Solutionise, a free drop-in service providing advice on IT, legal and business management solutions.

The LSBU Croydon Campus opened in September 2021 at the iconic Electric House on Wellesley Road.
