Evaluation, review and analysis exploring general service and care issues amongst patients and carers

Researchers on this project analysed video footage to explore general service and care issues that were important for the patients and carers who participated at the Unique Care Service evaluation project.

The analysis is a visual thematic approach (Boyatzis, 1998; Braun and Clarke, 2006; Hadfield and Haw, 2011), coming under the auspices of visual sociology in general. It is conducted in collaboration with service users.

The project commenced in 2010 and was completed in 2011. It was carried out by academics from our School of Health and Social Care under the theme of Health and Social Care Delivery.

The funding body for this project is NHS Barking and Dagenham.

Members of the project team from LSBU included Markella Boudioni. To find out about other academics search our People Finder. Other members were Wendy Couchman, Nina Hallett and Cristina Lora.
