Emily works in Children’s Nursing within LSBU's School of Health and Social Care. She specialises in children and young people’s cancer care nursing.

Emily holds a joint position with Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where she works as part of an education team in the largest children’s cancer centre in Europe. She has a BSc (Hons) in Childhood Cancer Nursing and is a registered nurse teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Emily is responsible for running two postgraduate modules in Children and young people’s cancer care. These are run at both diploma and masters level for nurses working in this area.

Emily also teaches on a variety of undergraduate children’s nursing modules.

Emily is part of the Royal College of Nursing’s Children and Young People’s Cancer Nursing forum, and is an active member of the subgroup of paediatric oncology nurse educators who meet twice a year to discuss national issues in cancer education.

Emily is also a member of the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG).
