About the team
LSBU Doctoral College is the central hub for all postgraduate researchers (PGRs) across LSBU, moving beyond the individual department level to enhance the entire doctoral experience. The roles within the Doctoral College are to provide professional development and training, ensuring all PGRs gain essential research, transferable, and career skills.
The College also focuses on community and welfare, promoting a supportive, interdisciplinary environment that reduces isolation and promotes well-being. By maintaining quality assurance across doctoral programmes and coordinating services like Viva-Voce examinations and progress reports, scheduling and ethical approvals, the Doctoral College standardises and elevates the quality of research degrees, ultimately helping researchers successfully complete their studies and transition into their future careers.
