This 1-year course is specifically tailored to adults aged 19+.
This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is the highest level or final stage of the AAT Accounting qualification. This well-respected accounting qualification is ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting to a higher level. You will be taught by highly qualified lecturers with extensive knowledge & experience in accountancy and Finance.
Please note classroom attendance is weekly, times to be confirmed, with a commitment to self-study expected. The course duration is 36 weeks.

You must have a sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles to undertake the AAT Level 4 programme. Achievement of a Level 3 Diploma in Accounting or related qualification may also be accepted.
New applicants will also have an initial assessment in English & Maths and achieve a Level 2 or provide evidence of prior achievement.
These professional examinations require a high standard of preparation and considerable commitment if success is to be achieved. In addition to the course fees, you will also be required to purchase set books and join the AAT as a member.

This qualification provides you with the skills necessary for a ‘Finance Officer’ / accountant role including the complex management accounting tasks, general management skills, drafting financial statements and specialist learning areas.
On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded an AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. This internationally recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification enables those working in accounting or those who are looking to pursue accountancy as a career to work as an accountant in a range of sectors.
The level 4 Diploma in Accounting covers a wide range of aspects of accountancy and is made up of several key areas such as:
* Management accounting
* Budgeting
* Financial Statements for Limited companies
* Accounting systems and control (Synoptic).
Two of the following optional Units:
* Personal Tax
* Business Tax
* Auditing
* Cash and Credit management
* Credit Control
This AAT qualification gives you the skills and knowledge to work as an accountant within any number of sectors.
After successfully passing the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting, you may wish to consider expanding your knowledge and skills on another of LSBTC’s business-related courses or progressing on to studying chartered accountancy. This qualification can give qualified students exemptions towards part of the UKs chartered and certified accountancy qualifications.
Alternatively, you could choose to progress to wider higher-level study, and consider one of the following undergraduate degrees with LSBU (additional qualifications will be required). In some cases, you may be eligible for direct entry to year 2 or 3 of a degree course:
