Roselin Jahan Prova, MSc International Business Management

Why did you choose to study International Business Management?

I chose International Business Management because I want to work in global business environments and learn how companies operate across borders. It gives me a wide understanding of business strategies and international markets. Along with that, I have a good understanding of consultancy, and I plan to align my skills with the course learning.

As an international student, why did you choose to study at LSBU?

I chose LSBU because it has a good reputation, a diverse community, and great support for international students. The location in central London was also a big reason to choose this university.  And as I did my research earlier, I found out that the university helps its students with career support. Considering all these, I made up my mind for LSBU.

Can you tell us more about your internship opportunity and the benefits of this?

My internship has helped me gain real work experience and improve my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. It also gave me a better understanding of how businesses work in the UK, which will help in my future career. I had a good networking opportunity as well.

How do you think LSBU is preparing you for your career?

LSBU is helping me develop practical skills, build my confidence, and prepare for job interviews. The university also offers career support, workshops, and networking events that are really helpful. For example, there is a career fair and different in every month.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about studying a postgraduate in International Business Management?

Go for it! The course is very useful, and you will learn a lot. Be open to new experiences and take part in all the activities and opportunities offered – it really helps in your personal and professional growth.

Favourite memory of LSBU so far?

My favourite memory is meeting new people from different countries and working together on group projects. I have also enjoyed events and workshops that helped me grow. Moreover, as I work as a student ambassador, I feel I am like a part of the family.

What are your plans when you finish your course?

After finishing my course, I plan to get a job in business analytics or management in the UK, where I can apply my skills and continue learning.
