LSBU Law Students visit Cairo to study the Egyptian Legal System

LSBU has a long-standing partnership with the British University in Egypt (BUE) and this year saw our first Comparative Law study visit to Cairo to learn about the Egyptian Legal System with students and teachers from BUE. Comparative law is available to the LLB and the LLM courses.

Anaya Thapar on the LLB course reflects - “My LSBU experience in Egypt was a once in a lifetime experience. There was a mixture of education and experience of seeing the sights of the capital and what it is known for. It allowed me to gain an insight in how the law and regulations works within Egypt's institution and how it effects the lives of their citizens. The culture is rich, diverse and powerful with how it is instilled with the citizens and how we view their lives as outsiders. I would love for others to experience this.”

Of course, the cohort and their facilitators also visited the Pyramids and the old city bazaar, Khan al-Kahlili.
