Tell us about your business.
At Noorlytics, we’re developing Noora – a compassionate AI-powered assistant designed to support students and individuals with neurodivergence, visual stress, or visual impairments. Think of Noora as your personal wellbeing and productivity guide: it reads text aloud, adapts fonts and colours to your preferences, helps plan your day, reminds you about important tasks, and even supports your emotional health. It’s like having a friendly, intelligent companion who understands your needs and helps you thrive – whether you're at university, college, or at home.
Our mission is to make inclusive technology mainstream, starting with EdTech and expanding into wider health and wellbeing support.
What is the problem or need you are looking to address and how does your business idea meet this need?
Many neurodivergent and visually impaired students struggle with reading, planning, and processing information, especially in fast-paced learning environments. These challenges often lead to academic under-performance, anxiety, and isolation.
Noora addresses this by offering an AI-driven, accessible tool that bridges the gap between independence and support. With features like text-to-speech, mood tracking, adaptive fonts, and smart reminders, Noora empowers students to succeed on their own terms. We're currently piloting Noora in UK universities and colleges to ensure we’re directly addressing their most urgent accessibility needs.
What inspired your idea and business?
As someone who’s faced the realities of living with a health condition and supporting family members with care needs, I understand how empowering the right technology can be. My father's struggle with cataracts and my own experience with neurodivergence sparked a desire to create something meaningful. That vision evolved from a home-based assistant (CatBot) to Noora, a more versatile, student-focused solution under the Noorlytics brand. We’re building on real experiences and driven by a deep commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and ethical AI.
What has been the best part of your entrepreneurial journey?
The most rewarding part of my journey has been turning a personal challenge into a solution that resonates with so many. Watching students and educators respond positively to Noora, knowing it could reduce their stress and improve their learning experience, has been incredibly motivating. Being able to combine my background in engineering and AI with a passion for social good makes this journey fulfilling in every way.
What advice would you give aspiring entrepreneurs just starting their journey?
Let lived experience lead the way. Your pain points or those of your loved ones can be powerful sources of innovation. Focus on solving a real problem and test your idea with your target users early.
Build lean, iterate fast, and be open to feedback. And don’t be afraid to evolve! CatBot became Noora because we listened, learned, and stayed mission-focused.
Lastly, stay grounded in your values, especially if you're building for impact.
What support would be most beneficial for your business at this stage? What are you looking for help on?
We’re currently seeking pilot partners in the education sector – especially sixth forms, colleges, and universities – to help validate and co-develop Noora. We also welcome connections with assistive technology experts, SEND coordinators, and accessibility leaders. Strategic mentorship, funding to expand development, and introductions to inclusive EdTech investors would help us scale faster.
Additionally, we’re building a strong go-to-market strategy and would benefit from marketing and distribution partnerships.
