Aayush KC: International Marketing PGT

After five years in student recruitment, Aayush KC sought a broader horizon in global marketing. Enrolling in LSBU's MSc International Marketing, he discovered a dynamic environment where innovation meets diversity. With tailored academic support and industry networking, Aayush is now equipped to lead strategic campaigns and pursue senior roles in EduTech and international recruitment.

Why did you choose to study International Marketing at LSBU?

My experience in the field of Marketing and Student Recruitment motivated me to choose International Marketing. I am also fascinated by the idea of overseeing the work of a marketing team as a whole. A degree in International Marketing is an opportunity for wider exposure, product awareness, and increased sales. The MSc International Marketing course will help me in the future employability mindset, where I can advance my knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of global marketing and its optimum practices.

Why did you choose LSBU as an international student (if applicable)?

London South Bank University, which is one of the oldest public universities located at the heart of London, focuses on the improvement of students’ lives, business and the local community since its establishment. As an international student, I was not left out in any part of LSBU. Whether the support comes from the admin or from the professors, LSBU supports their students, and LSBU, for me, is the place of innovation where minds from around the globe meet as one.

How is LSBU preparing you for your career?

As I come from a professional background which includes student recruitment, I see LSBU preparing me in key sectors such as Education Management, Media, and Manufacturing. However, my primary focus will remain on the Education Management sector, where I have built a solid foundation with my five years of professional experience.

What networking opportunities have you experienced while studying at LSBU (guest lecturers/events, etc.)?

I have an opportunity to connect with the CIM representative who shared the insights on how a CIM degree can help in the changing dynamics of the world and its implications with the increase in technological factors.

Can you tell us about the academic support?

LSBU has provided personal tutor support where student can raise their concern when they are facing issues either in understanding the coursework or the assignments. LSBU taking mid-semester review from the student can also be something I identify as an academic support where students' voices are heard, and the improvement has been seen in reality.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about an MSc in International Marketing?

If you are thinking about MSc International Marketing, execute the Idea with LSBU, where things get valued, and dreams meet reality.

What are your plans after you graduate?

After Graduation, I anticipate securing crucial roles like International Recruitment Manager or International Marketing Head in renowned EduTech B2B companies like ApplyBoard, INTO Global, Study Group and NAVITAS or in the University itself, where I plan to look at the Recruitment of international students. Being familiar with the products, services, and business model makes me a strong candidate to positively accelerate the initiatives.

Additionally, I see potential in contributing to similar global business verticals like The British Council and IDP. I can apply my skills to roles like Marketing Head, which shapes strategic campaigns that will align with both local and international trends.
