Fostering Network: Leading our Lives, 2007-2010

This project evaluated young people's participation in fostering services and identify models of good practice

The project worked with young people and the Fostering Network to set up participation groups, regional forums and young people's committees across England.

It also provided training for the young participants in the necessary skills for active participation and decision making within the fostering services.

Having a voice

The project enabled fostered children, care leavers and sons and daughters of foster cares to have a genuine voice in their own futures and in services affecting them.

The Leading Our Lives project was funded by the Big Lottery and was carried out on behalf of LSBU's Families and Social Capital Research Group.
