Peter has 51 years experiences of working in and supporting technical engineering activities, including mechanical, production and marine engineering. He brings this wide knowledge of systems engineering into his role in the LSBU and has become adept at managing the wide range of experimental rigs which demonstrate the principles of environmental, renewable, building services and civil and mechanical engineering.
“I received my training through the Royal Navy after spending seven and a half years at sea in ship's engine rooms, both steam and motor and whilst, my role at LSBU is very different, I remain keen to develop our renewable and energy efficient demonstrators so that students gain a full understanding of the how carefully systems operate, and most importantly, how these can positively impact our environment.”
