Neelan joined the LSBU Board of Governors in June 2025 having been a co-opted member of the LSBU Group Audit and Risk Committee since April 2024. He is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in financial services, specialising in IT, Operations and large-scale business and technology-led transformations across South Africa, the UK, and the Netherlands. He is currently Co-Founder and COO of Collective Action Investment Partners BV, an impact-focused private equity fund-of-funds manager, where he leads operational strategy.
Neelan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Witwatersrand, an executive MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and in 2025 he completed a course in Data Science with AI and Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge. Outside of work, he volunteers as kitchen help at Kingston Young Carers Project and as well as a tutor for the Action Tutoring charity.
