Duncan joined the Board of Governors in 2017, and is chair of the Group Audit and Risk Committee.
Duncan’s professional career was with PwC, the global professional services firm. He spent 31 years with the firm, gaining experience of working with a wide range of international and UK-based businesses and industries including financial services, automotive, technology and social housing.
During the last 17 years at PwC Duncan specialised in working with occupational pension schemes, and has worked with many of the largest and most innovative pension schemes in the UK. For the four years leading up to his retirement at the end of 2016 he was the partner responsible for leading PwC’s UK Pensions Assurance Practice.
Duncan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southampton University, and is a Chartered Accountant.
