Record numbers of calls to LSBU on the first day of Clearing
London South Bank University's Clearing Advice Centre opened its telephone lines to prospective students at 7am on Thursday morning, with the team of more than 110 trained advisors accepting over 5,100 calls on the first day

Many applicants have also taken advantage of the option to apply directly online, with hundreds of online applications being submitted during the first few hours alone.
LSBU will be open to receiving calls throughout the month of August until the end of September. This will give students additional time to decide which course they would like to apply for, but spaces are limited so LSBU encourages students to call sooner than later.
Lynn Grimes, Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment at LSBU said: "It is fantastic to see that so many people are taking up the opportunity of studying at university this September and we are looking forward to welcoming our new students to LSBU in the autumn. We still have places on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses and the staff in our Clearing Advice Centre are ready to help applicants find the right course, but don't delay as places are limited."

As well as giving students tailored advice by talking them through their options, we also ensure that we have our academics on hand to answer any questions and hold a drop-in advice centre for students who want to ask about our postgraduate and undergraduate courses in person."
LSBU is running Drop-in Events on August 16, 20 and 27 featuring specific academic advice for full-time undergraduate courses with available places. You can speak to lecturers and students and take a tour of our campus. Bring your UCAS form and exam results with you in case you need to discuss them. If you bring all the required documents with you we may be able to accept you on a course there and then.
