Welcome to LSBU May Intake 2026
We're excited to welcome you to London South Bank University (LSBU) for our May 2026 intake. This student hub brings together everything you need to prepare for your arrival, enrolment, and to start your course with confidence.You'll find key information on travel, induction, fees, teaching, and support services.Induction sessions
Over two days, you will take part in a series of sessions covering everything you need to know about studying and living in the UK. These sessions are mandatory and an important part of your programme, so please make sure you attend all of them. All sessions will take place at the LSBU Hub, Chelsea Lecture Theatre.

Community activities - T20 Cricket at the Oval
Come and watch a T20 match at the legendary Oval and meet your fellow May starters along the way. Tickets are free but limited, so grab yours via Eventbrite using your LSBU student email.
Your LSBU student email account will be set up when you complete online enrolment; please email enrol@lsbu.ac.uk in the first instance if you have not done this.

Join us for a walk along the South Bank and get to know the local area with your new classmates. More details to follow soon.
Arrival, induction, and course enrolment
- You can move into your LSBU accommodation from 5th May, and your deadline for latest arrival is 18th May to complete induction and enrolment.
- Induction will introduce you to your course, academic team, and key services. We recommend you download the MyLSBU app in preparation to support this (and you can also find our induction plan below).
Fees and funding
- All students must pay minimum of 75% of their first-year tuition fees during enrolment. Remaining fees will be paid in one instalment in 4th September and your payment plan provided during enrolment.
- Important: some students are required to pay 100% of their tuition fees before a CAS is issued. Please refer to your offer letter for confirmation if this applies to you.
Teaching and academic calendar
- Your course will be delivered on a compressed basis (this means you'll study with greater intensity in a shorter initial period).
- Important: your first semester runs from 18th May to 27th July 2026 and your second semester will start from 5th October 2026.
- You can access teaching and learning material via our virtual learning platform, Moodle. Here's a brief explanation (pdf) of where to start with course and module sites and more detail around accessing the platform will be covered during Induction.

Get a head start on the admin: Student finances. Setting up a locker. Signing up for a GP. These aren’t exactly the most exciting things to think about, but they are essential to getting the most out of your time here. Get them out the way early and then you’ve got more time to have fun later.
