Our academic team has put together a list of recommended activities, reading materials, and resources to help you gain deeper insights.

These are all friendly recommendations - it's completely up to you how much (or little) you decide to do!

The Science Museum is a short walk away from South Kensington and Gloucester Road stations which are on the Circle, District and Piccadilly lines. There are also even more bike racks available in the local area if you would like to cycle to the museum.

Autodesk Fusion 360: Requires you to create an Autodesk account.

Complete some tutorials: To get to understand the basics of using the software from Autodesk’s official Fusion 360 channel and playlist.

Aim 93: Read up about London South Bank University’s aim to break the world record for human powered speed. You can join the team when you start your course - it is open to all students!

Formula Student: Every year, London South Bank University students take part in an international competition at Silverstone. They go head-to-head with students from around the world, to build, test and race their own vehicle.  You can join the team when you start your course - it is open to all students!

Khan Academy: A range of free online courses to help you kickstart your studies. We recommend UP Class 11 Physics which helps with Solid Mechanics and Materials and Fluid Mechanics and Thermofluids modules, along with College Algebra that helps with Engineering Mathematics and Modelling.

Watch & Listen

Objectified: A feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them.
