Transnational Narratives
Transnational Narratives – A Documentary Celebrating South Asian Women in Architecture is a research-led documentary which celebrates and documents the contributions of women architects from Pakistan and India, highlighting their professional journeys, challenges, and achievements within male-dominated architectural cultures. Through interviews and visual storytelling, the film builds an oral and visual archive that brings visibility to voices often absent from mainstream architectural narratives.
The project is led by Professor Igea Troiani (LSBU) and Dr. Mamuna Iqbal, with filmmakers Paula Roush and Rime Tsujino (LSBU), and features the architects Chitra Vishwanath, Prof. Sajida Vandal, Sarah Khan, Dr. Neelum Naz, Sumita Singha, OBE, Prof. Fauzia Qureshi.
