"The Festival of Creativity at LSBU celebrates the talent, achievements, and creativity of our final year students across the School of Arts and Creative Industries, and includes Creative Advertising, Performance, Music and Sound, Film & TV, Photography, Games, Media Production and Fashion Communications. Open to the public, industry professionals and / or the wider community of the University, the Festival of Creativity includes a range of events, performance and award ceremonies providing a showcase for our students as they enter their chosen profession.” - Dr Natalie Garett Brown, Dean of the School of Arts and Creative Industries.

Altered States Festival: 22nd - 25th May 2023

Welcome to the 2023 Altered States festival showcasing 14 unique and innovative performances. It's four days of original theatre productions and performances by graduating Drama and Performance students.

Each piece has been developed from scratch from a range of experimental devising and performance making processes drawing creative and theoretical inspiration from contemporary performance makers and theorists.  Pieces range from scripted, narrative-driven productions to devised, cross-disciplinary, multi-media, physical theatre, interactive and immersive practices.

All performances begin at 17.00 in the Edric Theatre. There is a strict no latecomers policy.  Tickets must be booked in advance and will not be available on the door. There is an advisory minimum age limit of 15 years.

Performances may include strong language and adult themes, including sex, drug abuse and violence.  If you have concerns please contact us and we’d be happy to discuss the content of specific events.

Creative Technologies Degree Show - 25th May 2023

Come and join our celebration of success at Borough Road Gallery from 5-9pm on May 25th. Exhibited work includes Fashion; Games; Music; Creative Advertising; Photography and Media Production and the evening will also include a live stream of the event from the Newsroom with our Journalism students.

Music and Sound Design Live Performances and DJ Sets - 25th May 2023

Thursday 25th May night will be flavoured with the sounds of our Music students with live performances from 7-9pm and DJ sets from 7-10pm in the SU Bar.

Theatre Agent Workshop - 6th and 7th June 2023

Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th June 2023 - Level 4 and 5 Acting and Performance students will take place in a half day practical workshop with theatre agent John Markham. During this workshop student's will be able to explore the tools they will need to work with agents once they have graduated.

BFI Graduate Showcase 2023 Awards Ceremony - 15th June 2023

End of Year Showcase for 3rd year Film Practice students. This showcase at BFI Southbank provides an opportunity to view the impressive work of our graduating students and experience the evocative, emotional, humorous, suspenseful, and awe-inspiring narratives crafted by our talented students. This is a SOLD OUT event.

LIBERTATUM features the work of third-year BA (Hons) Photography students from London South Bank University. A diverse group from around the world, including the UK, EU, South America, Asia and Africa. LIBERTATUM encapsulates our personal perception and exploration of the notion of “freedom”, communicating our creative expression, representation, and styles.
