At LSBU we take pride in collaborating with industry leaders to provide our students with real-world knowledge and opportunities. The launch of our new Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) for Chemical and Energy Engineering is a strategic step forward in enhancing the connection between our academic programmes and the evolving needs of industry.

Our (IAB) plays a crucial role in shaping the academic experience, ensuring that students are prepared to excel in today’s fast-changing industries. This is an exciting development for our Chemical and Energy Engineering team as we are working together to provide our students enrolled in the MEng, BEng, and MSc Chemical and Energy Engineering courses with more opportunities to thrive.

The IAB brings together a diverse group of experiences professionals and leaders from across the chemical and energy engineering and chemical product manufacturing technology sectors. Their roles is to provide insight, guidance, and challenge to ensure our teaching, research and skills development remain relevant and responsive to current and future demands.

Through mentorship, curriculum guidance, and career development support, our esteemed IAB members bridge the gap between theory and practical application, offering students an unmatched learning experience.

Our main working themes are aiming to develop four pillars for our students:

  • Expert Guidance – Ensuring our programs align with industry trends and workforce needs.
  • Mentorship & Networking – Offering professional insights and career-building advice.
  • Internships & Job Opportunities – Connecting students with top employers.
