Foundation course requirements
To apply for an undergraduate course at LSBU you need to have one of the following:
- Diploma of Completed Secondary Education with a grade of 4 or higher
- English language requirements: IELTS 4.5 or equivalent

Undergraduate course requirements
To apply for an undergraduate course at LSBU you need to have one of the following:
- Diploma of Specialised Secondary Education and successful completion of a recognised UK foundation programme.
- Successful completion of one year of university at a recognised institution in Kazakhstan
- Bakalavr (since 1991). Applicants with this qualification may be able to apply for entry to year two of an undergraduate course, or to a top-up degree; this will be at the discretion of the Course Director
- English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

Postgraduate course requirements
Taught Postgraduate Entry:
- Specialist Diploma (completed after 1991)
- Magister (since 1991)
- English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent

How to apply
The process to apply for a course varies to whether you study as an undergraduate or postgraduate student. You should also find out how to apply for any available scholarships.
Visa information
As a Kazakhstani national you will need to obtain a student visa or equivalent to be able to study with us at LSBU. The main route for students to come to the UK to study is the General student visa. It is also important to refer to the information and student visa Policy Guidance which is available on the Home Office website. You should also check the visa processing times if you are applying from Kazakhstan.
