Alumni and visiting users
If you are a former LSBU student or staff member, you can get free access to our libraries. There is also a paid membership scheme available that allows you to borrow books from the library.
Once you have your access card, there are computers with internet access available for you to use in the Perry Library. The LSBU Visitor Wi-Fi network is also available for you to use with your own laptop. If you are a current member of an institution that provides Eduroam wireless internet access, you can use this network on the LSBU campus too. You can find out more information about services for LSBU alumni on our library webpage.
Students or staff members from other universities
You may be able to access LSBU’s libraries by joining the SCONUL Access Scheme.
When you come to the library for the first time please bring your SCONUL approval email and your student ID. Depending on your level and mode of study you may be able to borrow books or you may have reference only access. We will let you know when you join.
During vacation periods you can access LSBU libraries for reference only using your own student ID under the SCONUL Vacation Access scheme.
There is no access to our computers for SCONUL members, but the LSBU Visitor Wi-Fi network is available for you to use with your own laptop or if you are a member of an institution that provides Eduroam wireless internet access, you can use this network on the LSBU campus too.
You can see further information about SCONUL access at LSBU on our services for visitors library webpage.
Members of the public
Reference access to members of the public, not covered by the schemes listed above, is also available. Please see our services for visitors webpage for full details of costs and how to apply.
