Triumph over adversity is given the spotlight in a student profile of a second year student Fereshta Ahmadzi, who grew up under the restrictive Taliban regime in Afghanistan, but is now thriving on the LLB. Visiting Professor Max Weaver also provides an insightful commentary on a lifetime's thinking on the law of torts.
This issue also launches the street law project from the LSBU Student Law Society together with the Law Department. The project is designed to engage schools and colleges in a critical examination of their legal responsibilities and rights. The magazine also features updates on Student Law Society programmes such as the return of the innovative mentoring scheme, mooting competitions, weekly indoor football and a series of guest lectures planned for next semester.
Editor Beverly Sowah would like to thank all students and staff who continue to help produce the magazine adding "working on the publication is an excellent opportunity for students to keep up to date with current issues in Law".
