Student on sought-after FIFA Masters programme
BA (Hons) Marketing student Jakub Mihule has been awarded a place on the sought-after 'FIFA Masters programme', which is the number one Sports Management Masters degree in EuropeThe ten month programme will take Jakub on a tour of prestigious universities across Europe including De Montfort University in Leicester, SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan and the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland. These universities have been hand-picked by FIFA to help create individuals with an excellent knowledge of Humanities of Sport, Management of Sport and International Law in Sport. The MA's highly tailored program has been voted the best of its kind in Europe by Sport Business International Magazine and is ranked in second place globally.
Jakub was one of over 550 candidates who applied to be on the programme this year. Along with 60 other candidates Jakub was asked to participate in a Skype interview, which he passed with flying colours, earning him a spot on the final shortlist of 30 exceptional students.
Commenting on his success, Jakub said: "The course combines top class academic teaching, practical case studies, guest lecturers and field visits to Old Trafford, Wimbledon, FIFA and UEFA. My Course Director, Anita Peleg, gave me lots of tips and wrote me a great academic recommendation. I am so happy - it really is a dream come true."
