Professor's artwork is selected for Royal Academy Exhibition
Professor Richard Sawdon Smith, Head of the Arts & Media Department at LSBU has his work featured in the 2012 Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of ArtsRichard's work The Anatomical Man was selected from over 11,000 entries to the 2012 exhibition and can be found in Gallery X of the Royal Academy of Arts.
The Summer Exhibition is the world's largest open submission art show, displaying work by both established and emerging artists.
The work will be on display at the exhibition from 4 June-12 August, and hangs alongside work by famous artists such as Gary Hume and Martin Creed.
Commenting on his achievement, Professor Sawden-Smith who teaches on the BA (Hons) Digital Photography course at LSBU said: "I believe it's great for students to see that staff who teach them on a weekly basis are at the forefront of their profession and receive external recognition for their work."
