LSBU–NHS stakeholder event a great success
The first national stakeholder event to cover NHS Student Bursaries and Social Work Bursaries was held at London South Bank University in AprilMore than 80 delegates from universities and stakeholders from across the country attended, providing an overview of strategic direction, operational updates and the opportunity to participate in a range of workshops and drop-in surgeries.
"This was the NHS Business Services Authority's (NHSBSA) first Student Services national stakeholder event, which covered both NHS Student Bursaries and Social Worker Bursaries," explains Ian Bryson, Client Engagement Manager (Student Services) for the NHS Business Services Authority.
"London South Bank very kindly volunteered to host the event at their K2 building and we couldn't have wished for a better venue. The administration, assistance and support provided by Anisa, Soumaya and the team was excellent—and the feedback from all the delegates from the day was very positive.
"We also held a student's forum with some London South Bank NHS students and they provided some excellent insight on life as an NHS student and on accessing the services provided by NHS Student Bursaries.
"We were very impressed with the professionalism of the students who attended and really appreciated them taking the time out from their studies and placements to assist us in developing the Student Bursary Service for both current and future NHS students."
