New Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Transformation to join LSBU
Professor Zainab Khan has been appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Transformation and will join London South Bank University (LSBU) on 4th April 2024.
Professor Khan joins LSBU from Royal Holloway University of London where she is Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience. She was previously Pro Vice-Chancellor Teaching and Learning at London Metropolitan University for four years where she held a large portfolio leading the academic strategy, EDI and several professional and student services. During her tenure, she delivered significant year-on-year impact for London Met, including outstanding student satisfaction, and leading one of the largest and most accelerated reductions of the degree awarding gap in the sector.
As Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Transformation Professor Khan will lead on a number of key academic activities. Working with teams across LSBU, this role will assist in achieving a high-performance culture to deliver an outstanding student experience as well as seeking to optimise the use of the University’s estate. Professor Khan will work closely with School Senior Leadership Teams to build upon LSBU’s strengths and strategic priorities within the academic portfolio, enabling growth in furtherance of the University strategy.
