Midwifery studies at LSBU ranked first in London
LSBU has been ranked as the best provider of Midwifery education in London by NHS London going up 2 places in the rankingsProfessor Judith Ellis, Executive Dean for the Health and Social Care Faculty at LSBU, said: " We offer a vibrant range of nursing and midwifery programmes with a long-standing reputation for excellence - and are pleased that the results of the assessment reaffirm this.
"Through our partnership working with the NHS we ensure that those who study nursing and midwifery at the University have the skills, knowledge and personal attributes required to provide patients with the high-quality care they expect and deserve."
She added: "Over 95% of our pre-registration students quickly find employment and our post-registration graduates go on to successfully specialise or progress in their chosen areas of practice."
NHS London's contract performance management assessment focuses on a number of key areas - including the ongoing development of course programme content and the number of qualifiers from courses compared with the number commissioned.
Places are still available for the PgDip Nursing programmes in adult nursing, children's nursing and mental health nursing for September 2012 entry. The graduate entry programmes offer an accelerated route for graduates with a relevant health or science-related honours degree. Interested applicants can book onto an upcoming open day.
