The Great Ormond Street Hospital Manual of Children's Nursing Practices was published recently, which was co-written by LSBU's Professor Faith Gibson, Professor of Children & Young People's Cancer care.The Great Ormond Street Hospital Manual of Children's Nursing Practices was recently published and was written by LSBU's Professor Faith Gibson, Clinical Professor of Children & Young People's Cancer care who also works at GOSH with colleagues Susan Macqueen, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Control and Elizabeth Bruce, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pain Control Service.
The manual was launched at an event at the hospital on 6 June 2012. The new evidence-based manual of practical skills in children's nursing will ensure children's nurses everywhere have access to a high quality, up-to-date and evidence based reference. It builds on the extensive expertise in children's nursing developed at Great Ormond Street Hospital, encompassing all aspects of children's nursing from the most basic aspects of everyday practice to advanced practice in high dependency and intensive care.
