LSBU graduate selected co-curator for British Art Show 8
London South Bank University Arts Management alumna Anna Colin has been appointed co-curator for the British Art Show 8 due to open October 2015Anna graduated from LSBU in 2003 and has since added impressive, international experience to her portfolio including projects for the Whitechapel Gallery, London; Victoria Gallery & Museum, Liverpool; CIC, Cairo; and Bétonsalon, Paris.
Professor Suzy Kerr Pertič, Pro Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences said: "I have followed Anna's curatorial career closely since she graduated from the LSBU BA (Hons) Arts Management in 2003.
"Her fantastic achievements are recognition of the curiosity, integrity, critical vitality and exceptional creativity that she brings to both her curatorial projects and to her engagement with an increasingly complex cultural environment."
In addition, Anna has also co-founded Open School East, a non-fee alternative art school set up to support artists, local residents, neighbourhood organisations and the broader public. The school has attracted wide media interest, becoming London's most talked about alternative art school.
The British Art Show 8 is due to open in Leeds, October 2015, touring to Edinburgh, Norwich and Southampton.
