LSBU continues to climb Complete University Guide league table

LSBU leaps 6 places in the Complete University Guide 2019 national league table

LSBU is continuing its steady upward trajectory of achievement and success after jumping six places nationally in the Complete University Guide (CUG) 2020, published this week (1 May) The University has also risen a total of 21 places in the CUG national league since 2017.

Rankings were determined by the Complete University Guide 2020 after factoring in student satisfaction, research, entry standards, the proportion of good honours degrees awarded, graduate prospects and completion rates.

LSBU’s focus, which has made this success possible, has been on steadily improving our record on employability, graduate outcomes, accreditation, work placements and apprenticeships.

Professor David Phoenix (pictured), Vice-Chancellor of LSBU said: “I am pleased that the long-term investment the University has made into improving and enhancing the career prospects, aspirations and graduate outcomes of our students is paying off.

“At LSBU we have created a dedicated, in-house careers advisory service to provide advice and guidance to our students about their career prospects. In 2019 we launched our new Passmore Centre for Apprenticeship which is fast becoming a one stop shop for students to meet with local employers and learn about local employment opportunities available to them.

“The University’s drive towards gaining industry recognition for the high calibre of our students, the excellence of our teaching staff as demonstrated by our TEF Silver award and the quality of the degree courses and range of apprenticeships on offer, has greatly improved our ratings and overall chances of success, both nationally and in London.”

“This gradual progress is also the reason why we have been named University of the Year for Graduate Employment two years running, by The Times and Sunday Times guide.”
