This accreditation means that students who complete their studies towards BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at LSBU will have the opportunity to apply for exemptions from the Certificate level of the CIMA qualification improving their immediate employability prospects.

Both BA Accounting and Finance and BA Accounting and Finance with a placement year, two of the most popular courses at LSBU, are also accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Sarah Moore-Williams, Principal Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, says "This accreditation means that our students will be able to kick start their careers. Having a choice of professional body, as well as the chance to bypass certain papers, means that as soon as they graduate, they'll be able to apply for intermediate accountancy roles."
