London South Bank University hosts Serious Sport Conference

The Serious Sports Conference – endorsed by Skills Active UK - will bring together researchers and practitioners in sport for an exchange of knowledge and best practices.
The event has been organised by LSBU's Sport and Exercise Science Research Centre which is internationally recognised for its expertise in human performance.
Andy Banks guided the career of Commonwealth Gold and Olympic bronze medal-winning diver Tom Daley. As keynote speaker at the Serious Sports Conference, he will speak about the need for psychology in sport, the concept of fear, and how athletes can overcome it under the stress of the competitive arena drawing on his own experiences of working with elite divers.
