Growing International Collaborations in the Faculty of Business
The Faculty of Business has developed a number of new academic partnerships with overseas higher education institutions in the last 18 monthsThe growing popularity of London South Bank University's Masters programmes is evident in the growing demand for MBA's and International Business programmes. The Faculty has collaborative course partnerships with the Cypress Institute of Marketing, the Independent Science and Technology College in Athens, the International Business Academy in Denmark and the Auston Institute of Management in Singapore. Further postgraduate opportunities are also being pursued with higher education institutions from the public and private sectors in the Czech Republic, Russia and France, all to come on-stream in 2014.
At undergraduate level, the Faculty continues to grow its collaborative provision abroad, through its offering of top-up honours degrees in Business Management and Business Information Technology. The Faculty recently expanded its provision of collaborations into South East Asia in April 2013 by successfully validating a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with the Auston Institute of Management in Singapore and Sri Lanka. These new collaborative links have helped to highlight the LSBU brand in Asia and provide University wide strategic alliances that will also help support the recruitment of overseas students to courses at the London campus.
The Faculty always adopts a supportive and managed roll-out of course delivery with new partners; often providing flying-Faculty support in the first instance to support new partners and orientate them into the learning and teaching culture at LSBU. The Faculty has a strategy of developing close strategic alliances with overseas institutions; with the intention of building strong and long-term relationships. The Faculty attends graduation events in a number of countries and is proud of all its students studying on LSBU programmes abroad.
