Head of Department for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities to retire
Enkanah Soobadoo, Head of Mental Health and learning Disabilities at London South Bank University, has announced his retirement after 20 years of service.Due to retire at the end of December 2013, Enkanah has been with LSBU for over 20 years and has been influential in promoting a strong position for nursing both within the University and across a range of external stakeholders in London.
It is a highlight for Enkanah knowing that he is leaving at a time when the department has a strong profile, a broad range of Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) activity - and his student focused work has introduced the student charter that is now embedded across the University.
Other achievements during his time at LSBU include leading on the implementation of Inter-professional Education in practice and his support for the involvement of service users and carers in education.
Enkanah has been a great member of our Faculty team and will be greatly missed internally as well as by external stakeholders. His conscientious approach and gentleness of spirit has ensured his place as a friend, colleague and role model to many. We wish him well for his new life of leisure.
