Dr Benson, a Senior Lecturer in LSBU’s School of Engineering, shed light on the scale of unsafe cladding systems lining the London skyline and elsewhere in the UK

Residents living in high rise blocks, close to Grenfell Tower, have been left in cold and damp homes since the removal of cladding from the outside of the building, also used to help insulate their homes.
LSBU’s Dr Claire Benson, a fire and explosion scientist with over 15 years’ experience researching and lecturing, was interviewed by the BBC (24 Jan) for the Victoria Derbyshire show, giving her opinion on the scale of unsafe cladding systems across the UK.
