Celebrating National ODP Day
To help shine a light on the crucial role operating department practitioners (ODPs) play, we interviewed one of our ODP students and one of our ODP academicsDid you know that 14 May is National Operating Department Practitioners' Day? Operating Department Practice, or ODP, is one of the courses we deliver at LSBU and we’re incredibly proud of our ODP staff and students and the impact they have on healthcare.
On this day, the College of Operating Department Practitioners and UNISON are encouraging ODPs to speak to other healthcare colleagues and, more importantly, the public about their profession, to show how crucial ODPs are in participating and delivering excellent patient care.
To help shine a light on the role they play, we interviewed one of our ODP students, Juliette Anne Luxford, and one of our ODP academics, Daniel Rodger, to help you understand what the course is about, what ODPs do and how they fit into experiences of patients all over the country.
