Business Faculty celebrates first Danish graduation
The Faculty of Business at London South Bank University (LSBU) recently attended the graduation ceremony of its first cohort of undergraduate double degree students in Denmark. The ceremony was held in the grand surroundings of Kolding Castle, which lies at the head of Kolding Fjord in the region of Jutland, southern Denmark.
The Business Faculty has a long-standing relationship with the International Business Academy (IBA) and has been awarding distance e-learning undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for more than ten years.
The e-learning courses at IBA are taught and assessed in English and based on the full-time postgraduate and undergraduate courses delivered by the Faculty of Business at LSBU.
Over the last two years, these e-learning courses have been supplemented by a growing suite of franchised courses studied in normal face-to-face modes of delivery, which has further strengthened the relationship.
Professor Geoffrey Elliott, Pro-Dean (Academic) of the Business Faculty at LSBU, said: "The Faculty has long recognised that professional people lead busy lives with many commitments. These courses have been innovatively structured to enable students to be assessed and study at their own pace - and from anywhere in the World.
"We are proud of the innovation shown by staff in designing these courses, and the achievements of our graduates from around the world."
The Faculty of Business has also recently agreed to develop a range of further courses with the IBA, including an MBA for 2013/14.
