Prof. Basu Saha highly commended in Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Global Awards
Basu Saha, LSBU's Professor of Chemical and Process Engineering has been highly commended in the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Global AwardsThe prestigious awards, which celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement in the chemical and process industries, attract interest from all over the world. They offer a broad scope for entries with over fourteen categories ranging from sustainable technology to innovator of the year.
Professor Saha has been highly commended in the 2014 awards in the 'Energy' category for his project entitled 'Greener Fuel'. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 6 November.
He is the Founding Director of the Centre for Green Process Engineering in the School of Engineering at LSBU and had previously won The Royal Society Brian Mercer Award in 2012.
Professor Saha said of the recognition: "I am pleased to have been highly commended for our innovative project on biodiesel production. The award validates the importance of our work in providing renewable energy solutions in a sustainable manner.
"We are committed to producing innovative energy solutions that can improve the efficiency of industrially important processes."
