The books were given to the students as part of a presentation and Q & A session at the University given by David Amos, Managing Director of Zeelandia UK.
Elaine Thomson, Course Director at the National Bakery School said: “It’s a real inspiration for our students to know they have the backing and support they need from the industry.”
Expressing her gratitude for Zeelandia’s gift, first year Baking Technology Management student Hellen Chomba said: “This book is definitely going to help me improve my bakery skills and I am looking forward to continuing drawing on Zeelandia's expertise after graduation.”
David Amos, who is also a former President of the Alliance for Baker Students and Trainees (ABST), rounded off the event by suggesting students become members of the ABST and attend its annual conference in June.
