If you’ve successfully applied for one of our Architecture Courses mentioned below, you’ll be asked to submit a portfolio.
Submitting your portfolio
Once your application has gone through our pre-screening process, you will be contacted by our Admissions Team to submit a digital portfolio using wix.com. You will need to create an account and choose the template ‘Portfolio & CV’. Once you have populated the template with your designs, please publish your portfolio and send the URL link to our admissions team. They will then pass this to the relevant staff member to review. You will have 5 working days to complete this process.

You will need to create an account by selecting ‘Get Started’ and ‘Sign Up’ by inputting your email and password. Then select ‘Skip’ in the bottom right corner and select ‘Choose a Template’. Select the ‘Portfolio & CV’ template and choose your design to edit. To upload your relevant documents, select the ‘Media’ tab. Once you are happy and have populated the template with your designs, please publish your portfolio by selecting ‘Publish’ and send the URL link to our admissions team. They will then pass this to the relevant staff member to review. You will have 5 working days to complete this process.
What we are looking for
Your portfolio should contain a maximum of 10 images that represent your creative and technical ability. It should be presented in a clear and coherent format and should be ordered according to types and styles of work. We look for a balance between vocational and academic representation within your work. Kindly demonstrate a broad range of examples in your skills and talents via the use of mixed media. Preferably focusing on the understanding of three-dimensional form and spatial awareness displaying the ability to convert 3-dimensional information into 2-dimensional representation. Please select work that represents your strongest skills and avoid repeating examples of techniques and styles, we require skills that demonstrate your ability to observe, think and create.
An analysis of colour form and space is a plus, as well as demonstration of conceptual and creative thinking, which represents the understanding of architecture and particular areas of interest in the field.

In order for us to be able to offer you a place to study at LSBU, you must submit a portfolio for review by one of our course tutors. Our typical turn around time is 2-4 weeks however, during peak application periods this may take longer.
BA (Hons) Architectural Assistant Apprenticeship – Architecture

Portfolio information:
The portfolio should be a reflection of your creative and presentation skills, and should consist of images that represent your creative and technical ability, in particular work that demonstrates good three dimensional and spatial awareness, the ability to convert 3-dimensional information into a 2-dimensional representation. An analysis of colour form and space is a plus, as well as demonstration of conceptual and creative thinking, which represents the understanding of architecture and particular areas of interest in the field. You must also have an awareness of the relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours associated with the Level 06 Architectural Assistant Apprenticeship.
BA (Hons) Architecture

MArch Architect Apprenticeship – Architecture

Your portfolio should be an expression of your achievements during your RIBA Part I award, with a clear ability to generate design proposals developed from research and investigative techniques. Your portfolio should demonstrate a range of different drawing and communication methods, including photographs of your physical models, good technical, material and, construction knowledge, and understanding of the context of the architect in society. You should be able to present the requisite skills of a RIBA Part I graduate and be able to reflect on your most creative work. Supplementary relevant UK based professional work must also be included, and your involvement in the projects clearly demonstrated. Your portfolio should be no more than 25 pages and presented in a manner that best represents your creative skills and abilities.
