Kristen Cartwright, MSc Marketing Communications
"While completing my undergraduate studies at Arizona State University I became increasingly interested in the field of marketing—and the endless opportunities that come with it," explains Kristen.
"My ideal career would be working in public relations and events. And I've always been interested in the entertainment industry, so something that incorporated those fields would be amazing."
Kristen had previously spent a semester in London on a student exchange during her bachelor's degree. It was this experience in a new country that helped Kristen choose LSBU for postgrad study away from home. (Helpfully, meeting her boyfriend in London sealed the deal!)
Kristen is now completing her dissertation in the heart of Europe, one of the few truly international cities and home to some of the world's most exciting creative industries.
"Being a student at LSBU has not only taught me so much about the marketing field but also how to interact with individuals from all over the world.
"It's truly a world city—and the LSBU campus is right in the centre of it all. There are so many nationalities and different cultures represented. International experience is an advantage in any career but especially in business.
"Being an international student has also meant I have learnt so much about myself. I wouldn't trade this opportunity for the world."
