Recruitment and retention to pre-registration nursing project
Funded by two local learning networks, this project explored the application data for those who were accepted and not accepted to our pre-registration nurse education programmeReports have been sent to partner FE colleges highlighting issues in regards to achievements of their students in applying and staying in our programme. This work was extended to follow the accepted students through to completion of their programmes.
The project commenced in 2009 and was completed in 2012. It was carried out by academics from our School of Health and Social Care who are carrying out research under the theme of Workforce Innovation, Development and Education. The funding body for this project is the London Local Learning Networks.
Members of the LSBU project team were Sheelagh Mealing and Prof Joan Curzio.
