Opportunities and contracts
LSBU procures contracts that exceed EU thresholds. We either call off an EU compliant framework or advertise the opportunity in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
OJEU contract notices
These can be found on Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), which is the online version of the 'Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union'. Suppliers can register on TED to search for contract opportunities across Europe. Suppliers then receive alerts when opportunities arise and can also view opportunities by visiting our eTendering site.
Mini competitions
The University often runs mini competitions when it procures contracts, using a range of frameworks. The two most commonly used are through the London Universities Purchasing Consortium and the Government Procurement Service.
Low to mid value contract opportunities
There is no single portal where opportunities below EU thresholds are advertised. Sometimes the University publishes open opportunities on its eTendering site. The University also checks local supplier networks for some low value opportunities.
