Fireside chats

At team get togethers, we talk about so many things from practical to conceptual. We challenged two of our members, Mary Ryan and Irwin Turbitt, to produce a series of Fireside Chats (without the fire and on zoom – but still a good discussion between peers) on issues of our time. These are not necessarily views held by all members of the Lab, but they are here to stimulate your thinking and practice.

The first is on Active Citizenship

Here you can hear Mary and Irwin exploring what constitutes active citizenship, is its value dependent on whether its judged as ‘good or ‘bad, the importance of belonging, the nature of individual and connected responsibility, the resurgence of local people contributing to communities, and not wasting a crisis.
