Dr Sandie Woods is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy in the Department of Allied Health, School of Health and Social Care. She specialises in occupational therapy, qualitative and arts- based research, dementia, and mental health in older adults. Sandie had extensive experience of working as an occupational therapist in hospital and community settings prior to joining LSBU. She has a special interest in supervision and mentoring in healthcare, research poetry, and is a dementia friends champion with the Alzheimer's Society. Sandie teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in occupational therapy and health and social care programmes. She is a researcher and research supervisor.
Teaching includes occupational therapy, dementia, long term conditions, qualitative research, supervision and mentoring in healthcare.
