Rohit is a Lecturer in Marketing at the School of Business. His doctoral research focused on the experiences generated by interactive installations in public spaces and how theories and principles of conceptual art contribute to consumer research. This feeds into his broader interest and current research in the intersections of art and technology and how they inform consumer research and marketing practice.
Before his academic work, he spent over seven years working as a writer and researcher in advertising agencies in Delhi, London, and SE Asia, building integrated strategies for brands such as Coca Cola, KFC, and Mars, among others. His work in the industry also informs his teaching and his research interests in (post)modern art and design in marketing.
Rohit's multinational work experience in advertising agencies on global brands informs his teaching. He draws from his research in the arts and branding and integrates case studies from his work in the industry.
Rohit's research focuses on interactive experiences generated by interactive installations in public spaces and how theories and principles of conceptual art contribute to consumer research and (post)modern marketing. His research considers the inherent value of using new media in marketing and offers new conceptual routes to understand experiences in the hyperdigital world.
